56 million passengers transported

Deutsche Lufthansa AG carried 56 million passengers in 2025, nearly 3% fewer than in the previous year (previous year: 57 million). Capacity was up by 1% and sales increased by 2%. The passenger load factor went up by 0.8 percentage points to 83.6%. Traffic revenue fell by 1% to EUR 14,245m (previous year: EUR 14,330m).

Operating income up by 2%

As yields were lower than the previous year, revenue was down slightly year-on-year in 2025 at EUR 15,770m (previous year: EUR 15,812m) despite higher capacity and sales. However, other operating income rose by 26% to EUR 1,612m (previous year: EUR 1,277m). Overall, operating income climbed by 2% to EUR 17,382m (previous year: EUR 17,089m).
